Ze’s Diner is a family-owned, retro 50’s style diner looking for a reliable and friendly Host/Dishwasher to join our Bloomington team! This is a dual-role position that plays a key part in keeping our restaurant welcoming, clean, and running smoothly.
Position Overview
The Host/Dishwasher will assist with greeting guests, supporting front-of-house operations, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas. This position includes a mix of AM and PM shifts.
Responsibilities
Host Duties:
Greet guests warmly and with a positive attitude
Seat guests and manage wait times during busy periods
Provide menus and assist with drink orders when needed
Help run food and assist servers as needed
Support side work and maintain a clean front-of-house area
Dishwasher Duties:
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment
Keep dish area clean, organized, and stocked
Assist with light prep work when needed
Take out trash and help maintain overall kitchen cleanliness
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Qualifications:
Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn and help where needed
Flexible availability for both morning and evening shifts
No prior experience required — we will train
