Selling my 2003 Chaparral 183SS. I am the 2nd owner, the original owner was my uncle who is notoriously meticulous. He bought it new in 2004, and I bought it from him in 2016. It has been professionally winterized every fall, and the hours are very low. The engine is a 4.3L Mercruiser with an Alpha One sterndrive. The entire boat is fiberglass including the floor and both consoles, so there is no wood to worry about rotting away. The carpet snaps down in sections and is very easy to remove and clean. All the benches have storage under them, the front bench and passenger console also have fiberglass wells with drains in/under them (intended to be used as coolers). It also has a removable fish finder that clamps onto the passenger console. There is a hatch in the floor that is big enough to store skis and fishing poles. There is also a hatch on the bow to store the anchor. It has a bimini top that will snap to the windshield, then props up to cover the driver, passenger, and back bench. It rolls up and stores in the engine bay hatch. The trailer is included and was made for the boat when it was new. The bunks on the trailer were replaced 2 years ago. The boat/trailer do have minor issues. The trim down function is finicky due to a failing solenoid on the trim pump, the motor will trim down but sometimes takes a few times pressing the button. A new solenoid is about 40 bucks and is simple to replace, but due to where it is mounted you need to be a 5'5 contortionist to get at it. The boat leaks gear lube as well, I just keep a bottle in the boat and top it off every now and again. The trailer surge brakes also do not work, I have not looked into getting them fixed so I do not know what the issue is. However, the boat is not overly heavy (about 3000 Lb) so it has not been an issue. It also has some scuffs, stains, and prop dings as should be expected with a 16 year old boat. The boat also comes with a pair of ski's, a two person tube, six life jackets, a throwable, ski and tube rope, dock ropes/bumpers, storage cover, and a spare anchor. Selling because I do not use it as much as Id like to, and I am wanting to fund a project. I do not need to sell it, so do not low ball me.
