Quality Assurance Technicians collaborate with manufacturing and distribution in implementing processes that ensure safe, high quality food products are provided to consumers. QA Technicians are responsible for monitoring the quality of all products at the assigned location and handling food safety and quality issues that may arise in the manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution operations and areas. All while respecting associates, customers, consumers, and the communities that J&B serves.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production/Warehouse Floor Assistance:  Conduct pre-operational and operational monitoring of facilities, equipment, work operations, and personnel; perform visual monitoring of raw materials, work in process, and finished product to ensure product meets specifications (quality, net weight, etc.); perform monitoring and testing of manufacturing processes involving metal detection, injection, marination, breading, modified atmosphere packaging, and/or antimicrobial interventions to verify process parameters are met; monitor final product packaging and labeling; monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs); monitor compliance with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Good Warehouse Practices (GWPs); interact with manufacturing or distribution management as first point of contact for food safety/quality issues (product quality deficiencies or SSOP/GMP/GWP/CCP non-conformance); place non-conforming product or equipment on hold as necessary; monitor or conduct finished product evaluation, analysis, and/or cook testing activities.

Compliance:  Comply with all workplace safety, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Program, and facility policy requirements. Comply with the requirements of the Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Warehouse Practices, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, and food safety/quality management system standards.

Administrative Duties:  Accurately and completely document the results of required monitoring and testing activities and disseminate information as necessary.
