The Nobex 180 Miter Saw is a commercial-quality saw that handles up to 7" maximum thickness, and 7" width at 90° or 5" width at 45°. In my opinion it is the best. I do not know of a larger one at comparable price. It is safe in my view-certainly compared to power saws which are extremely dangerous. It cuts a very thin slice-you can trim off of oak something that looks like a thin potato slice. It is great and the angles are spot on. Best miter saw I have ever used. But, At 76 I do not foresee using it anymore.
