HP LaserJet IIIp, Resolution Enhancement PCL5 Laser Printer.
Model: (HP 33481A)
Manufactured in 1991.
The printer has the 4Mb Memory upgrade card in it, for a total of 5Mb's of Memory.
300Dpi resolution.
{But, It also has all the other series III changes such as the introduction of RET technology,
which in effect doubles the resolution of the print to 600x600 DPI.}
A Lower Paper Cassette Assembly (Paper Size 8" 1/2 X 11")
It has the 25-Pin Serial and 36-Pin Centronics Parallel Interface Ports.
Font Cartridge Port.
It has a Main Board Formatter problem (ERROR 55).
I did a registration test on it, and that came out fine.
So, the LX Engine is okay.
I have repaired this printer multiple times now, but I guess it's time to part with it.
There are a lot of good parts in it, and I have some spare parts for it too.
Spares:
RG1-1771-000CN Rebuilt PDA Scanner Motor Assembly.
RG1-1782-020CN Power Supply Assembly, 100/115V.

New & Used Rollers for 8" 1/2 X 11" Lower Paper Cassette assembly.
RA1-7654-000CN - Shaft, Feed Roller.{New & Used}
RA1-7674-000CN - Roller Pickup's.{Used}
RA1-7824-000CN - Roller Pickup.{Used}
Outer case is a little dirty, but will clean up easily.
Also included:
User Operating Manual & Service Repair Manual.
{These are photocopies of the original Manuals.}
Plus the EP-L Toner Cartridge, Black, 92275A.
If you have a HP IIIp or HP IIp with a bad LX Engine, this would make a good parts machine.
