I am seeking a position as an Electrician Apprentice. I have been performing electrical work in my own homes and those of my friends and family for about 17 years but was too comfortable with my jobs to start from scratch until now. Electrical work, working with my hands, and building in general has always been a passion of mine and it is past time I make it a daily activity and put what I've learned to better use. I am looking to work in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas, most of Minnesota, but not out of state travel because I have to care for my family.
I have a year of Construction Trades at Dakota County Technical College while in High School at South Saint Paul High School. I obtained an Electrician career diploma through Ashworth college, a distance learning institution. I have extensive work in drawing up plans and completing work for remodeling for friends, family, and my own home involving framing and electrical. For what it is worth I was an Electrical Manager for Menards for over 7 years working alongside Mary V. of West St. Paul and running my own department in Cottage Grove; advising homeowners and even electricians on projects.
It is time I take this passion and make it a career. I know I have to obtain the hours and CEC as an apprentice before I make Journeyman and beyond. I am registered with the state as a registered unlicensed electrician so that is taken care of. I am open to the idea of trial runs on a jobsite before being hired on as long as we submit my hours to the state.
Please contact me with further questions, I am happy to provide further details to the work/projects I have planned and executed. Contact for my resume and transcripts from High School, Ashworth, and my A.A.S. (though my 2yr A.A.S. is in an unrelated field) as I do not see an option on here to upload it.
