I have parted out many Corvairs and have a wide variety of parts.
I've got a '61 PG Lakewood engine that I did some repairs on and test ran on my cart which has pretty good compression and ran good on my test carburetors. I started at $600 and probably have about $1000 in it now.
I've got a 66 140 PG engine that I was going to put in my own car but went with a different engine instead when someone showed some interest. He bailed out so it's available. I started at $600 and have about $1800 in it now with some repairs and shrouding painted, ready to install. I ran it on my test cart, it has pretty good compression and ran good on my test carburetors.
I'm assembling a '63 102 HP engine with reground crankshaft; balanced Magnafluxed and reconditioned turbo rods; full fin '60 cylinders bored for new Egge .060 cast pistons. I'm waiting for a maybe home before having the heads done. I was going to put it in a Rat Rod project with a 2-barrel manifold but may not get to it.
I'm assembling a '63 150 HP turbo engine. The factory Nitrited crankshaft has been Magnafluxed and polished still STD; balanced Magnafluxed and reconditioned turbo rods; full fin '60 cylinders bored for new .030 Egge cast pistons and moly rings. Waiting for heads from the Machine Shop anticipating flycut, bronze guide liners and valve job.
I'm assembling a 140 HP engine with Magnafluxed and reground .010/.010 crankshaft; 280 Isky cam; balanced Magnafluxed and reconditioned rods; .020 TRW forged pistons with moly rings. I sold the heads so will have to wait for another pair at the Machine Shop. I'd like to put it in my own car for a year to experiment with 4-barrel carburetors while building EFI engine but everything is for sale.
I don't know cost on these yet. I suppose somewhere North of $4000, whatever I end up having in them. I will have full disclosure on parts, good used or new. I can put them together with you in mind on a take or leave it basis when done.
I've got many transmissions and differentials. Complete front and rear suspension assemblies. A lot of doors, hoods, glass, etc... Not many bucket seats or door panels.
I'm in the Corvair repair business and sell parts as a sideline. It's hard to find the time to check on parts, especially when half the time you never hear from people again.
I recently did another batch of good starters. Repaired as needed and tested on an engine. $125 each, take your pick.
I am actively trying to sell all the Corvair stuff I've accumulated over the years but I'm not having a fire sale yet. I'm trying to downsize and fade away. I've got a lot of time and effort into accumulating and storing all this stuff. I'll try to sell it for good money until the day I haul it to scrap.
