Solid Pine Tele style body. Unfinished, with primer.
Solid 2 piece unfinished Pine Tele body. Sanded down to 300 grit, then sealed with no wax shellac, then prime coated, then wet sanded to 400 grit.
1 ¾” thick body.
56MM heel, 5/8” deep neck pocket.
1” deep pickup cavities. Typical bridge and neck pickup rout, custom “strat” style middle pick up rout.
1 ½”” deep control cavity.
7/8” plug in rout.
String through body, 5/16” ferrule voids.
Very light weight. 3.42 lbs even.
Screw points for a pickguard are not provided.
Bridge anchor points are not provided.
Back story: This Tele body was once part of a Pine bar top I acquired from a remodeling project. The repurposed Pine was milled to 1 ¾” then processed into an unfinished Tele body as described above.
The sanding and priming process done to this body in my opinion is pretty smooth, but not adequate for the start of final color coating. I would urge you to do at least one more prime coat, and wet sanding before you start the final color coating process. This is Pine, so the grain is prominent and the hardness of the wood is relatively soft.
