A1 Engineering, a well-established precision machine shop operating since 1971, is seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Mill Machinist to join our growing team. We’re a small, close-knit shop that values teamwork, craftsmanship, and continual learning.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable machinist looking for long-term growth, hands-on experience with a variety of materials, and a positive work environment. We provide cross-training opportunities and encourage skill development across multiple machining disciplines.
What We’re Looking For
We’re adding capacity to our mill department and are looking for a candidate who brings:
• - A strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
• - A positive, team-oriented attitude.
• - Previous CNC mill experience (required).
• - Willingness to be cross-trained on other machines.
Qualifications
• - 2-year vocational degree in machining or equivalent hands-on experience.
• - Proficiency with computers.
• - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and part tolerances.
• - Experience with setup, offsets, and basic troubleshooting.
• - Familiarity with Mastercam (preferred but not required).
• - Understanding of various materials: plastics, aluminum, tool steel, exotic alloys, etc.
Key Responsibilities
• - Program, set up, and operate CNC mills. (plastic, aluminum, steel, hard turning, large and small)
• - Perform in-process inspection and quality checks.
• - Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
• - Collaborate with team members to improve processes and part quality.
• - Demonstrate self-motivation, problem-solving ability, and excellent attendance.
