Sonia is a tame and well growing gal who would be great for a homestead or small dairy looking for good milk output.
Her dam freshened with no problems on Easter Sunday and came into milk very well, peaking at about 119# or 14 gallons on twice a day milking. She holds well at around 100# a day now. And yes, her dam is a Holstein.
Dad is a registered jersey bull, a2a2 by parentage. Production and show lines. I sold him earlier this spring but can probably registered the heifer. I have not looked into that.
Sonia is eating her calf crunch well along with free choice hay and pasture as she wants. She has not been vaccinated.
She will not be suitable for a grass only farm, her genetics are to produce. And all the cows I know on her dams side did that very well. Grain will be needed.
