The artist signature is the word "indian" in devanagari ..a language originating from India . From my research, this is either a signature from susheer rajhbar or vs gaitonda I am no expert on these matters. The staple does not belong with me. This table weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of 700 or 800 lb. It should probably be bolted to the floor but can be sat at without it. I can't imagine what somebody paid to have this made new. This one-of-a-kind piece of art furniture
