Line sets are copper tubing lines used to connect split system air conditioners and heat pumps. The two copper lines (liquid line and suction line) in the set are refrigerant lines that connect the condensing unit (air conditioner-outside) to the evaporator coil (e-coil) in the furnace unit.
Installation Contractor Instruction: ASTM C1710 requires open insulation ends to be taped, glued or otherwise sealed to the tube to prevent air/moisture intrusion. Insulation material must be painted or jacketed where exposed sunlight for maximum longevity.
