So, I have a windows 11 (home) running desktop, when it was upgraded from windows 10, it didn't have "backup/restore" set point checked. So, until now, when this happened (that I am about to explain), it didn't create restore points. Now it does, btw.
So, earlier last week, we had some issues with a browser we use called Maxthon. It runs over MS Edge. I deleted the version showed up under the control panel's add/remove software section.
Then I reinstalled it. And that's when I realized, the bookmarks weren't backed up since last fall!
I have both "recuva" and "easeus professional recovery' and when I run the programs, I get a ton of 'deleted files/programs" and even "bookmarks" but If I try to open them, I can't!
So, if you can help me out and get those bookmark restored (if still possible), I can certainly pay you for your time (not a whole lot as I am an old/retired person who happened to know a bit about computers) but I reckon it won't take you long to see if you can help out or not anyway, right?
This could be remote (I have teamviewer), however, I won't give access to copy/overwrite files if you are dialing in from overseas etc. I have had issues before with those.
