This is a limited edition print of Horrido! - Rall by Les Carter. Horrido!...the war cry of the Luftwaffe fighter pilots when they an enemy aircraft was sighted. The word Horrido was taken from the name of the patron saint of the Luftwaffe fighter pilots- St. Horridus. In over 700 aerial combat sorties in which Gunther Rall achieved 275 aerial victories- he called out this warning to his squadron mates numerous times as he led III/JG52 into aviation history as the greatest fighter group ever.
This print is a scene of high over the Eastern front, where Gunther Rall is seen shooting down a Russian Sturmivik aircraft. Yet another victory taking him one closer to his final total of 275 victories in only 621 missions, making him the third highest scoring ace in history.
This painting was created originally in 1994. Each print was personally autographed by Gunther Rall. It is a limited edition #235 of 750 signed and numbered. The Print size: 27"wide X 21"high, the print has been matted, framed and sealed in this very nice silver metal frame. With the frame, it now measures 32" wide, 28" tall and 2" deep.
