Totally restored to original 1946 7-AC Champ, NC1585E. Total time is only 753 hours, airframe & engine. This Champ has been our hangar queen since 1959. The A-65 engine has 70 hours SMOH with a balanced crank, rods & pistons. Metal prop has 139 hours since reconditioning. May 2019 annual. Poly Fiber covering, new control cables, glass & interior. Painted in the original paint design and colors. Owned and restored by a fussy old A/P/IA. No expense spared in this restoration. It has Milman STC'd aluminum spars and all ribs and wing parts are epoxy primed. New aluminum leading and trailing edges. Original reconditioned instruments, original type flocking on the interior side panels. This Champ was never used as a trainer except for training me back in the 60's. I have all log books & paperwork back to 1946. No electrical system or radios. Fuselage tubing was blasted and epoxy primed. All new wood bulkheads, stringers and top cabin framework. The instrument panel is in excellent condition with the correct brown wrinkle finish paint on it. New Slick mags and harness and has a stainless exhaust system. Cowling is in excellent condition with no cracks or patches. Has Citabria seat cushions from Airtex and I also have the original seat cushions. I have a photo collection of the restoration as well as a time sheet for the restoration. It took me 1,830 hours to restore it from 1998 to 2007, working on it as a wintertime, spare time project as I own and run a busy Bonanza maintenance shop. Now I'm trying to retire and downsize. Call or email me for a appointment to view this Champ. Call before 9am or after 6pm if you are serious. This is the first time this Champ has been offered for sale since 1959. I do not need to sell it and I am looking for someone that will take really good care of it as it is one of the lowest total time Champs out there. See the March/April and May/June 2014 issues of EAA Vintage Airplane magazine for a full article about this Champ. $35,000.00 Tire kickers please note: Don't waste your time or mine kicking tires as my Champ tires don't need any kicking........ Might trade down for late SUV. Thank you for reading all this.
