5 inch diameter Hall Superior Quality Kitchenware covered grease bowl marked "Tested and Approved by Mary Dunbar Jewel Homemakers Institute. I have found several postings of this "Autumn Leaf" pattern bowl that all list it as a "rare find" and the prices range from $24.95 to $29.00. No chips, cracks, or scratches are visible. This bowl was in the bottom of a box of miscellaneous items I bought at an auction sale. The information I could find seems to indicate it was from the 30's to the 50's era so it is around 70 to 90 years old. The gold trim around the top edge is showing loss from time and use but there is no crazing of the finish.
