This is a vintage & old brass bank covered in brown leather with key (looks like a small book). Measures 3" X 4.25" X 1", in very good overall condition, shows signs of wear on the edges, key looks to be original and works with lock. Item can be dated to prior 1949 because the company changed it's name that year. The embossed leather text on the front of the bank says: "A little added to a little soon becomes great", Investors Syndicate of America Inc, Home Office Minneapolis, Minnesota; the lettering on the side says: "Set aside and have" Benjamin Franklin, Made in the USA, Patented US nos 1701183, 1749655, other patents pending in Canada and Gt.
