Internship Overview
The focus of this internship will be on contributing to small business articles primarily for the PartnerUp blog, but occasionally for other outlets (e.g. member newsletters, how-to articles, etc.) as well. You would be responsible for helping us brainstorm, research and write about topics related to small business, entrepreneurship, technology, social media and more. You would also be responsible for various other tasks related to writing/media as they come up.
We’re looking for someone who can commit to 15-20 hours per week. We are flexible and willing to work with your schedule.

Publication History
The Wake was started in spring 2002 by two University of Minnesota Twin Cities undergraduate students, Chris Ruen and James Delong. The two undergrads wanted to created a student-run newspaper that creates discussion, awareness of campus and local issues, excitement and a sense of community on the Twin Cities Campus.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years recent experience in marketing, communications, or journalism and have available writing samples. Summary:
The Proposal Writer is involved in the full life cycle of the proposal development process, to include scheduling, editing, writing, content development, maintenance of prewritten content database, and production of the final proposal package. The Proposal Writer works directly with subject matter experts to articulate proposal requirements with a continual focus on upgrading the quality of written proposals. Edits and re-writes, as required, proposal content prepared by others to ensure the final solution is clearly articulated, meets the stated RFP requirements, and is consistent with internal business communication conventions. The Proposal Writer will function as part of a larger Business Development team and will be responsible for helping the company achieve company-wide annual revenue goals through well-articulated proposal solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Work as part of the Business Development team from the point of opportunity identification through completion of the final document.
• Read and understanding government solicitations for proposals.
• Conduct market and industry research as needed for customized proposal/presentation content.
• Writing technical discussions for proposals, in conjunction with technical staff.
