PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to performing the duties of the QA/QC Lab Assistant I (outlined above), the level II is responsible for the following duties:

� Assist the QA Specialist in the preparation of controls and standards for the laboratory and Medtox Diagnostics
� Prepare lists of positive samples to sell to requesting clients

Avenue staffing is looking for a Chemist for one of its clients. This position requires a B.S or BA in Chemistry with the ability to;

Set-up, operate, maintain, collect data, and tear down a project water treatment plant at remote locations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

� Conduct water treatment projects in an efficient and timely manner.
� Knowledge of chemical analytical methods for the examination of water and wastewater.
� Knowledge of sampling methods and procedures for water and wastewater.
� Thorough documentation and note taking of site conditions, events, water qualities, operational parameters and all other variables associated with each project.
� Interact with end users and consulting engineers to complete project objectives and relay testing data.
� Provide site leadership and direct individuals to complete projects in a timely efficient manner while meeting objectives of end user.
� Consolidate project data and compile project reports.
� Provide training to operators for CoMag and BioMag product line.
� Provide start-up services for CoMag and BioMag product line.

WHILE IN OFFICE:

Evaluate potential applications for specific technologies, coordinate and establish protocols for lab analysis, evaluate jar testing data and establish chemical feed requirements for future projects, coordinate equipment to project site.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

� B.S. or B.A. in Chemistry
� Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
� Scientific report writing and analysis of data
� Ability to follow testing protocols
� Complex problem solving and analytical skills required
� Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time
� Should be able to work as a team player as well as unsupervised
� The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations
� Safety orientated
� Experience in working with environmental renovations

PREFERRED:

� Previous work in water treatment
� Experience with field sampling and testing
� Obtain Surface Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator Licenses
� Good communication skills
� Basic understanding of Water and Wastewater operations and utility management
� Basic knowledge of water treatment facilities with the ability to operate and trouble shoot systems
� Ability to work independently to efficiently achieve objectives and goals

Air Lab Supervisor - Environmental (Minneapolis)

Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of the lab to ensure all forms of client commitments are met (this will consist of sample analysis and canister needs)
Keep up to date on all data management requests and maintain daily validation of all analysis performed in the Air Lab
Work with the Lab Manager to meet budget goals and improve the overall processes in the lab and canister room

Requirements:
Candidate will have a 4 year degree in Chemistry or related field, with significant laboratory experience
Previous management experience is preferred
Analytical instrument experience is also preferred, but not mandatory
