I am a woman in my early 60s that was in a severe car crash a year ago and do not have a car. I have driven all of my life and have some disabilities from that accident, but nothing that would prevent me from driving. I am pretty much on a fixed income but do work part-time. I don't really have any dependable friends and/or family that I can count on to get to the grocery store or run errands from time to time. Everybody seems to be busy all the time. I have been taking a bus but that is difficult because I need to use a cane for balance problems (only when walking) and cannot carry much on a bus for groceries and the like.
I have become a recluse pretty much and find it hard to even get out to go a movie these days. I cannot afford much and I am trying to save for a car, but due to medical bills that could be a while. If anyone has an extra car that is a good runner, smaller car preferred, perhaps I could buy it, but I would have to make some payment arrangement. I know there are many kind caring people out there and I hope one of you are reading this. I am in a 12-step recovery program and have lots of life yet to live, but need to have more of an outlet to gain some independence. Just need a "leg up" as they say. Please contact me if you can help.
