Phyllis Wheatley Community Center is in need of volunteers to serve as tutors/classroom assistants in our after-school, academic achievement program for students in 1st-5th grade.
Volunteers typically work one day per week from 3:30-5:15pm. Volunteers will tutor children one-on-one or in small groups in creative reading and math skills.
A modest stipend is available for volunteers willing to commit long term. College credit can also be arranged.
Phyllis Wheatley Community Center is located 2 minutes north of downtown Minneapolis at the intersection of I94 and Olson Memorial Highway.
