Sadly, the previous administration wasnt and the ripple effect will be felt for some time. As commerce secretary Carlos Gutierrez says "It's just a matter of timing and when we started getting out of the recession that the president inherited."

For example of job growth:
During 2000-2006 when Republicans held control of Congress and Executive branches, the largest growth in jobs was in Federal Jobs (over 820,000 government jobs were created) It was also the worst job growth since WWII in 1940s. President George W. Bush left office with the worst employment-growth record of any president since World War II

Now, with President Obama running things, we are seeing core pricing increasing at a faster pace. Jobs are not a-popping like we'd all like them to be. This is running with the fact that there are more Gen x's and y's coming into the workforce and a recession and people working longer in life. The trend will continue for some time.

As the equity in housing (that many baby boomers were going to use to fund their retirement) continues to decline, this generation will less likely retire and may even pick second jobs. This makes the pickings slim for the masses. Then, as prices continue to bottle-rocket like they are, the need for higher-paying jobs will be greater but due to the recession, businesses must cut their largest line item of expense-payroll. Hmmmm--chicken and egg.
What's the fix? Reduce federal government. Eliminate the "individual rights" assigned to corporations and make the CEOs and other C-level people liable for their actions and not beholden to Wall Street. Eliminate lobbyists. Introduce term-limits for senators and reps. Continue to spend (but with more restraint) to stimulate things. Pull our forces out of hot spots. Charge North Korea, Russia etc for the food we provide them. Withdraw from the IMB. Tax the weathiest wage-earners (those earning $500,000 pay the least in taxes) to a greater number. Introduce a consumption tax and eliminate the IRS, income tax, etc.

I tell ya'. I made six figures in income last year with my properties, my company and my personal sales. Not only did I NOT pay any federal (15.3%) tax or Minnesota (7.3%) tax, but due to my shelters, the freaking government gave me $4000 as a "refund".
