"The Labor Department said Thursday that first-time claims for jobless benefits fell by 20,000 to a seasonally adjusted 512,000. That's better than economists' estimates of 523,000.

These are jobs that are questionable at best. The reports are all over the net as to daycare centers giving raises instead of hiring, or employment centers not hiring anyone new and claiming the 10 employees that they took from part time to full time are actually 20 jobs saved 10 for keeping the employee and 10 for increasing their hours.
