LOOK ART BELOW on the lower level is having their opening reception for OVER,UNDER,SIDEWAYS ,DOWN named after the legendary Yardbirds 1966 hit, but This show is NOW, 11 artists, Todd Hollingsworth's smokey, sexy portraits staged in some of the Twin Cities best known hangouts, Rhea Pappas's award winning large format underwater photos, D C Ice who's work is a little sinister, but oh so sweet, St Paul, by way of Canada , Kara Hendershot's deep and thought provoking paintings will stir something deep within you, fellow crazies Mark Vomit and Toneski Love of "throw up " fame, John Terwilliger's original drawings from his upcoming illustrated novella, award winning sculptor Gina Louise's paintings and, with her Grandpa collaborative collages, Joe Aschebrock's haunting Romans series, internationally published, and well known local Jesse Draxler, and the old guy that plays with crayons Todd Peterson, Live music by Bernie King, it's not for nothing, that it's been said of LOOK ART BELOW that it IS "the funkiest little unknown gallery in town" also happening in the Q.Arma Friday evening is Yarbi Design open studio, featuring multi award winner Rabi Sanfo's modern Afro Centric metal sculpture, and Altered Esthetics opening reception for "Digital frame art and new media" every thing gets started at 7, starts cookin at 8 and runs till 11. 1224 QUINCY ST. the Q.arma isn't the biggest venue in N.E. but it is the place to visit this Friday. Parking is available in the school district parking lot adjacent to the Q.arma
