Any guitarmakers out there without a shop but have the space for one, or do you have a desire to learn the art and craft of lutherie? If so, I have a proposal for you. I will provide the tools if you provide the space. I am not looking to start up a business here, but merely be able to practice the craft that I went broke going to school for. It's been over a year since I graduated from the guitar repair and construction program at Southeast Tech in Red Wing and I need to start building guitars. I have most of the necessary tools, and am willing to purchase more as time progresses, but can't really afford to rent a full blown shop space at the moment. I've had too many people tell me that I need to follow my dreams and build some guitars, but haven't yet been able to figure out a way to do this, so I'm turning it over to craigslist and we'll see what happens. If you have some experience in the craft and would like somebody to work with and build a shop with that would be great, but I would also love to work with somebody who has no experience but wants to learn. If you share a little space, I will gladly share any knowledge I have even though it may not be much. I did graduate in the top of my class and received a diploma in guitar repair and a certificate in guitar construction and I have a desire to learn more.
