The Alma Fishing float (2hrs SE from TC on WI border) closes for the season on 10/31. From what I understand, smallies, walleye and pike are hitting it hard. The cost is $15 for all day, yr MN fishing license is valid on the border. I'd like to leave the city at around 1-2 pm and stay till we limit out (evening bite has been better). I can drive but expect a gas split. Would love to go during the week (thur rain is forecast), but Saturday is doable too. Im 38, straight, and more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
