Take in animals and house them for short periods of time. We have a variety of cats/kittens that need foster homes right now. Supplies would be provided.

We need people to take home animals for 30-60 days to socialize and then return to the Windmill for their chance to get adopted or in some cases house them until adopted. Thier is also times we need foster homes for sick animals until they heal. All Windmill Animals must reside indoors for the entire duration of foster care, must receive daily handling and exercise. Must be willing to clean cages daily and feed the animals. Must be willing to keep litter boxes sanitary. We require them to live indoors as part of the family so they can get use to being a part of a family. This makes them more adoptable and easier to place.We put cats, dogs, and small animals in foster. If you foster small animals we would like you to give them greens daily, you would have to purchase these. You can choose to only foster certain kinds of animals.We have an immediate need for Kitten foster homes.

Skills

-Must be at least 18 years of age

-Willing to house pets indoors

-Have landlord approval if rent

-Be responsible and dependable

-Be willing to provide daily care, exercise, and love.

-Be able to make a 1 year commitment.

-Must have a passion for companion pets and have time to care for them.

-Must be willing to coordinate picking up pets and dropping them back off at the Windmill Animal Rescue.

-You would also have to be willing to come to the rescue to fill out the paperwork and fill out volunteer application and meet the staff. Rescue is located in Elko New Market, Minnesota.
