I am open to re-designing the site if the app becomes successful and would benefit from some type of integration. Currently, the site functions only as a portal to Mexico resort sites.
The basic concept is a tilt-driven game that navigates an animated vehicle or cartoon character(s) along the roads of Mexico to various destinations. The degree of tilt determines the speed and direction. Due to the extreme detail in the map, dozens of zoom-ins can each be a game background unto itself. But, the ability to seamlessly navigate from one side of Mexico to the next would make this unique. A "lite" version using only one region would be offered as a free app.

The UX factor: People trying to familiarize themself with Mexico for travel or educational (geography) reasons or for mere amusement. A timer could track user's time to complete a chosen trip. Users could choose various identities to compete. Could also be used as a portal to Mexico travel destinations by clicking on hotspots that bring up a link listing hotels and resorts in that area. Ability to zoom in or out to an area and click a button that says "Here's where I'm going!" and send that image to a friend.

I am primarily a graphic designer/illustrator and my brain isn't wired to be a programmer. I'm good at creating animated Flash banners, but it would take me a couple years to absorb the skills that this kind of endeavor requires.

All art was created in Illustrator so it is resolution independent. That fact means little at this point, but when smart phones adopt the use of Flash it could be a big factor. (The vector art can then reside in a Flash file instead of being a jpeg.) I can create all necessary additional graphic assets and currently already have many little animated characters that can be incorporated. Initially, a vehicle (VW) and a running character can be used for prototyping.
