Have you had a complete and total physical, if this anger has "developed" of late and not been a problem your entire life the it could be something chronic. (Not to scare you), but potentially neurological.
Also, there are disorders such as Bipolar or Borderline, are a couple that have a tinge of rage to them. With the help of a pyschiatrist, there are some great medications out there that can tone down the rage.
You could also ask for some skills such as DBT to get you through some of your rage.
I was on the receiving end of my ex rage, and he would explode, eye bulging, spit flying screaming, and 2 minutes later have absolutely no recollection of what just happened.
Reach out to your family - explain to them that you are afraid something is going on with regards to your anger and ask them to help you find a way to deal with it. A family that works together has a better chance of staying together. Shutting them out for fear of embarassment does NOT work.
Latley I have been considering suicide to protect my family as well as others from me, I am so angry and hurt and alone with my situation, I hate what my life has become. I have tumors behind my eyes and I take oxycontin and other stuff for pain, I am considering just taking like 10 of them and going to sleep. My family doesnt deserve an asshole like me... Real World Fighting and Self Defense: Kung Fu San Soo
With the popularity of the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), the UFC, and of course Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which back in the early 90’s got all of that started, it’s hard to ignore the impact in the martial arts world that these styles have had on modern fighting. But there is still a whole sector of the population that has been seemingly ignored and edged to the side and that’s the group of people who are looking for real world self defense. Enter Kung Fu San Soo.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu specializes in one-on-one ground work. Let’s say you are at the bar and a tussle occurs that involves you. You are a good guy and I know you wouldn’t start such things, but these things happen nonetheless. So you get your takedown and there you are on the cold concrete covered in beer trying to rough somebody up so he doesn’t rough you up, all the while his buddy is kicking you in the head. This doesn’t sound like a very good deal to me. MMA is a little bit better in that scenario, as they include the kicks punches knees and elbows, but that still doesn’t help you against the buddy kicking you in the head, nor does it help you if the guy you are getting into a tussle with pulls a knife.
It’s been my experience that there is a huge group of people who are not in the least bit interested in rolling on the ground with somebody on rough pavement or stepping into the ring for three five-minute boxing-kicking-grappling rounds with an attacker. In MMA and even in BJJ we have the luxury of a couple of standards that don’t exist in the real world: One, we can watch videos of our opponents and formulate a strategy against that specific guy, two, we agree upon a set of rules that prevent permanent maiming, and three, there is a referee to save our butts if we tap out or get into trouble. There’s no tapping in the street.
When it comes to a scary and risky real world fight/confrontation, there are no rules that bind you to do whatever it takes to survive a potentially deadly situation. Hence the aka name of our school, No Rules Martial Arts. All the rules and restrictions in the UFC are there to protect the fighters from stuff that works very well, like groin shots, hair pulls, head butts, biting and eye gouging, and frankly should be at the ready and in the arsenal of everyone training to protect themselves and their families from harm.
Further I have yet to see a real world fight that lasted for more than 30 seconds. Well, ok not quite true, I have been witness to full blown barroom brawls that have gone on for like 20 minutes, but that is an exception. MMA fighters are well known for their stamina, and arguably 80% of their training is/should be dedicated to that thing. But in 30 seconds stamina isn’t even a factor. Further going to the ground in a barroom situation doesn’t save the BJJ specialists from that second or third person. Most importantly you will fight in the real world just like how you train. If you train to go to the ground, then that is where you will end up in a fight. If you train for survival, most likely you will survive.
Kung Fu San Soo training offers nontraditional hands on realistic fighting methods that anyone can do and benefit from. Often called “the science of dirty fighting”, KFSS uses the tools necessary to win a confrontation against anyone. As an example, no matter how big or strong an opponent may be and no matter how much they train, there are still some universal weak points that can be capitalized on: Groin, eyes, neck/throat as primary targets as well as secondary targets like fingers, biting (anywhere), head butting etc, etc. Combine that with tactics, strategies, and methods to handle multiple attackers and weapons defense. All of these applications have gone through vigorous proofing and testing to ensure the validity and effectiveness. Let’s face it you may not get a second chance to defend yourself so what you do HAS to work, if it doesn’t you might not survive, and that’s just not acceptable.
Enter Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). BJJ has no striking, and is purely concerned with takedowns, throws, and most of all ground work and grappling. Though there are joint locks and chokes, you always have the option to “tap” or say uncle. In MMA if you get hit hard and are out classed and know the fight is done, yes you can tap, but the tap and the subsequent referee stoppage aren’t usually fast enough to prevent the next 3 or 4 strikes to the face. BJJ moves at a bit slower pace and is more akin to a game of chess. Your competition will know he has you and doesn’t have to break your arm in a split second, and you will know too when the jig is up after you train for a bit. All of this gives you plenty of time to tap out. That is not to say conditioning doesn’t help, it does, a lot. But BJJ is a sport for all levels of competitors. The matches are broken into both weight classes and rank. Even beginners with less than 3 months of training can do a competition and have fun. The ultimate target for the serious competitor though is the absolute division.
But not all of us are serious competitors either. That’s ok. Once again BJJ can fill the niche. A casual roll with a likeminded opponent/partner to work strictly flow or strictly technique is great way to get your workout, work your strategy and all without getting severe contusions that the boss at work would certainly frown upon especially because you are the front desk customer service representative. You don’t need to be a competitor to appreciate and do BJJ.
Children can do BJJ just as well. BJJ builds confidence and with good instruction discipline, camaraderie and sportsmanship. Some of the funnest, best matches I have ever watched are when the little tykes, maybe 4 years old, have a match. The entire crowd of spectators will stop to watch and encourage them. It is really something to see. Women too benefit greatly from BJJ. And I have found women to be great students of the art. The men are all about strength and wrestling in the beginning. The women are all about technique. Better to do it right than to do it strong. And in thinking that their BJJ game is much better from the get go.
The bottom line is frankly there are not that many people that do more than just brawl in MMA. The top guys being the exception but the numbers of them are really quite small. But everyone can do BJJ, even the entire family.
